Laos is experiencing a surge in passport power, with its citizens now enjoying visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 49 countries. In addition, some countries offer Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) to Laotian passport holders. The country’s visa-free policies for outbound tourism are expected to enhance its presence in the international tourism market, drive economic and cultural growth, and increase global engagement.
